From the Principal’s Desk – September 9, 2020

Dear CCS Parents & Students,

It is with much pleasure that I announce http://sassafraslowrey.com/2012/10/ann-coulter-attacks-homeless-queer-youth/ CCS received our waiver to OPEN! Through much prayer and hard work, the waiver has been http://partnershipforcoastalwatersheds.org/invasive-species-vegetation/ granted. We are thankful to the Lord for making a way for us to welcome back our students.

Classes will begin Monday, September 14th at 8:20 for K-2nd and 8:30 for 3rd-5th, Dismissal times 2:50 K-2nd, and 3:00 3rd-5th. Please reread the most updated reopening plan so you will be aware of the guidelines. Please know that students will be expected to be in uniform.

CCS will be opening the campus with the student’s safety in mind. Their health and well being is our utmost concern and priority. The school is opening under the guidelines of the Santa Clara Public Health Dept.

Welcome Back to our Students and Families!

Blessings,

Ms. A / CCS School Principal.

From the Principal’s Desk July 14th, 2020

Dear Parents and Students of CCS,

I hope this letter finds you well and healthy. I have been praying for continued health over our families since we were last together in March. I am sure this summer has been like no other! Many of us had to rearrange our summer plans. For myself I had to give up my beloved Hawaii trip this summer. I know there will be a time in the future I will get to enjoy the warm waters, lounge on the beach and explore the sea life as I snorkel the turquoise blue waters. I’m sure you also had great plans for your summer break. Fortunately we live in an area that gives us many opportunities to go outside and enjoy our surroundings along with the wonderful weather.

In Him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name.

Psalms 33:21

I am excited to announce our opening day is on track. Crossroads Christian School will open for our first day of school August 13, 2020. We still plan to have our Back to School Night August 11, 2020 at 6:30pm. There will be some changes to our Back to School Night. Instead of meeting in the Chapel, you will go directly to designated areas outside on campus with individual classes. This evening will be for parents only and please wear a mask. Please see the following locations:

Kinder– By the new benches along grass & blacktop west side of school office.

1st Grade– By the west side entrance to church glass doors.

2nd Grade– By the ball wall.

3rd Grade– In the Courtyard by E-care; please enter through E-care gate.

4th Grade– In the lunch area; please enter at Wright Ave. (Front Grass)

5th Grade– The walkway to 5th grade by west driveway.

I want to share the plan for 2020-2021 school year. It is based on a “Healthy Only” framework for reopening the CCS campus. This framework requires parents and employees to ensure that only healthy individuals are entering the campus. To support and enforce this approach, parents will be required to sign a waiver of liability. A “Healthy Only” framework provides the greatest level of “normalcy” but depends on students and employees to remain at home if they display flu-like symptoms or have been in contact with others who are symptomatic.

Please note: the entire campus facilities has been contracted to receive a professional cleaning and hospital grade sanitization by one of the few companies in the area certified for hospital grade COVID -19 cleaning. Further, the disruption to typical classroom routines will be minimized to the greatest extent possible in order to support student and staff socio-emotional health, as well as best practice of instruction.

Please know that it is our utmost priority to provide a safe, healthy, and effective learning environment for your children. We are people of faith and wisdom and we believe that this approach incorporates both faith and wisdom. Please sign attached waiver of liability and return to your teacher at back to school night.

I look forward to seeing all my precious children in August! Continued blessing upon your family!

Marsha Anguiano

CCS Principal

From the Principal’s Desk – January 2020

I would like to announce a warm welcome to Nathan Worrell on staff at Crossroads Christian School, as our new IT Director. He has been very helpful in the past with his talents and knowledge of computers so we feel fortunate to have him with us as a staff member. His daughter Grace, attends Crossroads, in Mrs. Ortega’s second grade class. Please give him a warm welcome when you see him.

Early Registration for elementary school will begin February 3rd – 28th. You should have received the registration pack in your child’s Friday Folder. This year early registration for new students, (non-CCS students), will open for one week, February 24th – 28th. I hope to see you there, it promises to be a fun night!

Soaring Readers just began on January 27th and will run through March 20th. Students will have a whole week in February, (winter break), with no homework so this would be a great time to pick up some books and read! I look forward to pinning our students who reach their goal at our April 3rd Chapel.

Drop Off and Pick Up: Thank you for following the guidelines during this busy time. We want all our families to be safe. For those of you who have family or friends picking up, please inform them of our safety rules: speed limit; pulling up to the front of the line; not getting out of the car in the drive through line; always single file line for drive through; and crossing at the crosswalk when walking to pick up students.

Thank you for partnering with us to make Crossroads Christian a great school!

Blessings,

Ms. Anguiano/CCS Principal
