From the Principal’s Desk – January 2020

I would like to announce a warm welcome to Nathan Worrell on staff at Crossroads Christian School, as our new IT Director. He has been very helpful in the past with his talents and knowledge of computers so we feel fortunate to have him with us as a staff member. His daughter Grace, attends Crossroads, in Mrs. Ortega’s second grade class. Please give him a warm welcome when you see him.

Early Registration for elementary school will begin February 3rd – 28th. You should have received the registration pack in your child’s Friday Folder. This year early registration for new students, (non-CCS students), will open for one week, February 24th – 28th. For all returning students, (including CCS Pre-K), I would recommend getting yours in before the 24th. Please take advantage of the early tuition price of $8,267.75 by registering by February 28th, after this date the tuition price will go up to $8,517.75.

Kindergarten Preview Day will be this Saturday, February 1st from 9:30 – 11:00 am. Please invite friends and family, interested in entering their students in Kindergarten, to our informational meeting. Mrs. Matsuoka will be there to give an overview of Kindergarten and answer questions that parents may have. Childcare will be provided in the preschool area, if needed.

Family Game Night is Friday, February 7th at 6 pm. Come join us for some fun! 5th grade will be selling their famous Tri-tip sandwiches and grilled cheese sandwiches as a fundraiser for their Hume Lake field trip in April. Come on out for some friendly competition in either Corn Hole, Family Feud, or Musical Chairs. We also need people to cheer them on. A variety of class baskets will also be raffled off. I hope to see you there, it promises to be a fun night!

Soaring Readers just began on January 27th and will run through March 20th. Students will have a whole week in February, (winter break), with no homework so this would be a great time to pick up some books and read! I look forward to pinning our students who reach their goal at our April 3rd Chapel.

Drop Off and Pick Up: Thank you for following the guidelines during this busy time. We want all our families to be safe. For those of you who have family or friends picking up, please inform them of our safety rules: speed limit; pulling up to the front of the line; not getting out of the car in the drive through line; always single file line for drive through; and crossing at the crosswalk when walking to pick up students.

Thank you for partnering with us to make Crossroads Christian a great school!
